I've always been a hands-on kind of person, so I'm totally in my element as ISA's Executive Director. Strategic development, marketing, sales, event planning and management – it's tremendously exciting to be involved in all these areas to create higher levels of success for our members.

In fact, helping people realize their potential has been my passion going back to my college days. My first job out of school was as a social worker and youth advocate in New York. From there I moved into the training world, first in the technology sector, then – inspired by the work of Edwin Deming - in human resources management. After getting my Master's, I worked at ASTD, where I served in several different roles until leaving, as Vice President of Membership, to join the team at ISA.

It's a privilege to work with the industry leaders who form ISA's membership. Training makes an enormous difference - for organizations and their employees. It deserves more recognition for its contributions to our economy, our businesses, and our country's workforce.

After the workday is done I love watching the sunset from my house on Smith Mountain Lake in the company of Alexis and Chelsea, my golden retrievers, and Bear – the family cat who thinks she's a dog.

I am Manager of Finance and Administration for ISA.

I've had 31 years of financial and administrative experience in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. And I'm very glad my career path has brought me here to ISA. It's a great organization. I've been here since 2000, and still find that each day is both challenging and extremely satisfying. Our members are an incredibly interesting group, with such a variety of experience and expertise. And they're always open to sharing their knowledge with others.

I'm a huge NASCAR and Redskins fan, and I love vacationing in West Virginia, where I enjoy visiting family and old school friends. Some day – in the distant future! - my husband and I look forward to retiring there.
